The Kapiti Extra Virgin Olive Oil wins Best in Show
THE TRADITION CONTINUES
Kapiti Extra Virgin Olive Oil has won gold in the 2011 New Zealand Olive Oil Awards.
This is the sixth year out of seven we have won gold and last year we were also awarded the title of New Zealand’s best olive oil. In 2009 we won a silver medal in the New Zealand awards, but hey, it’s still a pretty good result. Kapiti has also won a Gold medal at the “Olive Oils of the World” competition in Los Angeles, so it confirms that we can produce some of the very best extra virgin olive oil in the world right here on the Kapiti Coast.
Winning awards is important to us
It demonstrates that our olive oil is consistently world class and it gives reassurance to our customers that they are buying a truly premium product. It also is a very satisfying reward for us. It justifies all the time, effort and financial resources we put into growing the trees, harvesting the fruit and racing it straight to the press house to ensure it arrives there in perfect condition before it is crushed and turned into delicious, fresh, golden olive oil. The next step is the tasting, blending and bottling. Then finally we can confidently sell it to you to enjoy.
